MilAccess Terms of Use

Last updated October 21, 2026

These terms cover your use of MilAccess, an Android app by Rodmonster LLC. By installing or using MilAccess you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

What MilAccess is

MilAccess lets you use your own Common Access Card (CAC) and a USB smart card reader to sign in to websites from your Android device. It is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense, any military service or any government agency, and it is not a government service. Websites you visit through it are run by their owners, under their own terms and policies.

Your responsibilities

  • Use MilAccess only with a CAC issued to you, and only in ways your organization's rules allow. Some commands and agencies restrict signing in to their systems from personal devices. Following those rules is your responsibility.
  • Keep your PIN private. Your card locks itself after too many wrong PINs, and only an ID card office (RAPIDS) can unlock it. MilAccess warns you when few tries are left, but you are responsible for the PINs you enter.
  • Keep your device secure: use a screen lock, keep Android and MilAccess up to date, and lock your CAC (or remove it) when you're not using it.
  • Don't use MilAccess to access systems or information you aren't authorized to access, or for anything unlawful.

MilAccess Pro

Signing in to sites with your CAC needs a MilAccess Pro subscription, sold through Google Play. Prices, any free trial, renewal and cancellation are handled by Google Play and shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play. Refunds follow Google Play's policies. We may change prices for future billing periods as Google Play allows, with the notice it requires.

Availability

Websites, certificate authorities and government sign-in systems change without notice, and not every site, card or reader will work with MilAccess. We work to keep MilAccess compatible, but we can't promise that any particular site, card or reader will work, or that the app will be available without interruption.

No warranty

MilAccess is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Rodmonster LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost access, a locked card or missed deadlines, arising from your use of or inability to use MilAccess. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for MilAccess Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Privacy

The MilAccess Privacy Policy explains what the app sends and why. In short: your PIN and your card's private keys never leave your device or your card.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use MilAccess after a change means you accept the updated terms.
